30 Days to a Screen-Free Child | 90-Page Activity Book for Ages 3–12 | Instant PDF Download
I locked his phone in a cupboard and felt very firm about it for about four hours.
Then my ten-year-old found it.
It started reasonably, the way it does in most homes. A phone on a long train journey. A cartoon so I could finish a work call. Twenty minutes so dinner could get cooked in peace. None of those were wrong. They were survival.
Then he wouldn't eat without a screen propped against the water jug. Homework took three hours because the phone lay face-down beside the notebook, buzzing. And when I took it away, the child who came out of that was not the child I knew.
I shouted. I confiscated. I made rules at dinner in a very serious voice. Every one of them worked for a day and then made it worse — because I had taken something away and put nothing in its place.
So I changed the question. Instead of asking how to take the phone away, I started asking what I could hand him instead — tonight, in this house, with what's already in the kitchen drawer. Then I sat on the floor and played them with my son, one evening at a time, and threw out the ones that bored him.
This book is those thirty evenings, written down in order. I won't promise you a transformed child by day thirty. What I can tell you is that around week two, my son started asking what we were doing that evening — before he asked for the phone.
90 pages. Nothing you need to buy.
Every activity written out properly — goal, time needed, age range, materials, and numbered steps you can follow while you're already playing.

Honestly, who this is for
It's for you if…
Your child is 3–12. You have twenty to thirty minutes most evenings. You want a specific thing to do tonight, not a theory about screens. And you're willing to put your own phone in another room while you do it.
It's not for you if…
You want screens gone entirely — this doesn't do that, and doesn't try. You want a fix that needs no time from you. Or your child needs clinical help, in which case please see a paediatrician first.
What parents ask before buying
My child is 11. Isn't this for younger kids?
Some of it is, and I'd rather say that than pretend otherwise. Sock matching won't move an eleven-year-old. But the cardboard forts, indoor Lagori, origami, box cities and the whole bonus games section were tested on my own ten-year-old. Roughly two-thirds works well at that age, and every activity has its age range printed at the top.
Do I need to buy anything for the activities?
No. That was a hard rule while I was writing it. A torch, spoons, steel bowls, old newspaper, rajma, socks, cardboard cartons, chalk. If a shopping trip were required, most people would never start — including me.
How long does each day take?
Twenty to thirty minutes. That's the whole commitment. It also asks that you put your own phone in another room while you do it — that part is the hardest, and it's the part that changes everything.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing happens. Pick up at the day you stopped at — don't restart. There's a whole section on relapse, because it happens to everyone, including me.
How do I get the book after paying?
Instantly. The download arrives the moment your payment goes through, and the PDF opens on any phone, tablet or laptop. All printable pages are sized for a normal A4 printer. If anything goes wrong, message us on WhatsApp and we'll send it personally.
Is it available in Hindi?
Yes — the complete Hindi edition is a separate product in this store. Same 30 days, same bonus library, fully translated.
Is this medical or psychological advice?
No. I'm a parent sharing what worked in my home, not a clinician. If your child is showing severe distress, persistent sleep problems or anxiety, please see a paediatrician — this book isn't a substitute for that.
